This is my citroen.
Xm 2000 LHD, manual geabox, for French market.
I bought this car in November of 2007 with 50k miles from a SHOP in TOKYO, Le Parnas who imports many brands of cars from EUROPE, especially models which authorized dealers and Japanese ladies ( decides the husbands’ cars ) would never take any account, in other words , diesel engine, manual geabox, not luxury but basic,,,,and so on.
I had run another Xm before, the same 2000 year model with auto box, as you guess, failed with the transmission at 130k ks
so this is my second Xm, made my Japanese friends say “ you crazy, wyh don’t you drive Hondas, far more reliable, Mercedes and beemers are somewhat better than citroens, you know”.
No way, citroens are not cars, they are vehicles categorized as “citronens” like airplanes, trains,,,,,
Yes ! Shinkansen, a Japanese super express train is closest to CITROEN, when it comes to it’s stability expelling all kinds of unhappy jolting, enchanting and peace-feeling comfort.
It really is as Andre Citroen dreamed, he conquered the space.
even after long drive, I can set to another work with more energy than before driving.

bumpy rear suspensions
replacing of electric valve, regulator and suspension spheres, LHM , all of them made no difference.
and then, I saw HYDRACTIVE II SUSPENSION REPAIR KIT by e-crofting
this is something. symptons did totally disappeared, highest cost performance among my all treatments so far. last long enough up to now 2012 !
here is the maintenance record
100k km ; deviates to left side while running, after committed to a parking attendant.
replacing front suspension mounts
110k km ;
fixing wheel Alignment ; to correct the tendency of straying to the left side, partly successful
engine stall, unstable idling, came with burning wind into the cabin. replacements of the temp sensor for ECU solved all of them.
122k km ; replacement of mission oil and left LHM return tube, regulators of LHM, main accumulator (has punctured)
130k km ; tyres replacement. michelin to Japanese brand Toyo. 205/65/13 to 195/70/15, which is not only very reasonable but also comfortable and stable in daily realistic speed range. at the same time, the long-annoying phenomenum of deviating towards left side disappeared finally completely.
